USCIS has announced that as in previous years, they will suspend premium processing for all petitions filed in the FY21 H-1B cap. The service has issued a two-tier system for resuming premium processing on these petitions, mirroring what occurred last year (FY20 filings). Change of status (from F-1 to H-1B) petitions will be able to add premium processing first with a stated date of ‘no later than May 27th, 2020’ and all other cap related petitions will be able to upgrade ‘June 29th, 2020 at the earliest’. Premium processing remains available on other H-1B petitions such as extensions, transfers, amendments, etc.
